waste oil managementWhy don't waste management interests want to make oil from the waste being dumped in land fills?

It seems the only environmentally friendly and polution free to mangage waste products is by making oil out it. So, why is this rather simple process being used or for that matter is it even being researched? Its not at all hard to do so why not do it? The transformation of waste matter would be benifical to everyone as well as to the environment.
The current methods are innefficient. much of the stuff going into landfills is plastic or metal anyway, and that cannot be turned into biofuel.waste oil management the sperating costs as well as difficulties arising with research make it difficult. Also, we still can hardly use corn to do it, so althougth this is a good idea, it is a little ahead of times. try asking this question again in twenty years.
Converting waste to energy is extensively researched. It's not easy to do, because of the water and other low energy components in the waste.

A few plants have been constructed. They all need to use fossil fuels to keep the waste burning, and onwaste oil managemently get out a small amount of energy.

Converting waste to oil would be much harder, and unlikely to yield any energy at all.
probably because it isnt cost effective to do right now. plus the other thing is that without a large network to distribute that fuel you cant bring the production costs down enough to make it feasible economically. its a good idea in theory but like many of the ideas being floated around these days it will take alot of development to make it a feasible reality.
