I recently got a new computer and I want to transfer my entire iTunes library to my new computer. However, there are a few small problems that are not allowing me to do this.

First, not all of my songs were purchased off of iTunes. Some were, but many were downloaded from albums I personally own, YouTube, torrents, etc. This means when I try to transfer it directly via my iPod, it only transfers the portion of the songs that were purchased through iTunes. Not helpful.

Secondly, many of the songs I downloaded were not in the format I wanted them in when I downloaded them, so I changed album artwork, lyrics, titles, etc. within iTunes after they were downloaded. This eliminates my option to just transfer the original fhow do i download music to my ipodiles via an external hard drive, because the original files are much different than the way they appear now.

Is there any way around these two problems above? I just want to put all the songs on my current iPod onto my new computer, but can't due to iTunes' "you can only put music downloaded through us into your library" philosophy. Help?

What you could do is use a USB and put all of that music onto that. Hook it up to the other computer and click (Mac Users= Open in Finder) (Windows Users= Open in folder)

I just copy my iTunes folder on one computer to another. I don't know about artwork, but I guess it is in another folder and the musichow do i download music to my ipod files are not actually modified, but I could be wrong.
After copy, u have to add the folder(s) to ur iTunes and then sync.

Then of course, my iPod has been jailbroken, so that may figure in somehow. I do not have any purchased tunes.

if u are not going to connect via ur other computer anymore, don't forget to deauthorize it when the new one is up and running and before u remove the iTunes software from it.
You can use Home Sharing, go to the advanced tab on both of your computers and turn on home sharing, BE SURE TO USE THE SAME APPLE ID on each of the computers. Just select all of your songs (search Google for an easy way) and drag into your library. If you need more help, email me.
